Due to the growing concerns surrounding the Coronavirus pandemic, Gameday Baseball has decided to close to the public through March 22nd. This includes this weekend's tournament, all practices, and Middle School games. Although there have been no confirmed cases that relate to Gameday, we want to take all precautions necessary to ensure the safety of our teams and visitors.
Since we have not been open since March 8th, we are hoping this will provide sufficient time for us to disinfect our bathrooms and facility as a whole.
As information is constantly changing, we will make decisions based on the safety of all involved. Any updates will be made through social media and our website.
Entry into a tournament implies that you are aware of and can play during the advertised/specified dates and times those tournament games may be played. Please do not enter an event if you cannot commit to those terms. If you need to request times to play because of travel or extenuating circumstances, it must be done via e-mail to firstname.lastname@example.org no later than 5:00 pm (CST) Wednesday the week prior to the start of the event. No requests will be taken via phone. Every effort will be made to honor your request, if possible.
DO NOT expect changes to be made, if the schedule has been released,
The primary focus of USSSA Baseball is the development of programs that allow teams of all skill levels to compete against one another. USSSA Baseball believes the overall development of all players can be enhanced by the experience and fun of national tournament play. Until now the majority of players were denied this opportunity because of their skill level. USSSA Baseball offers programs for four levels of play. Major and AAA programs are national programs that culminate in a World Series. The AA program is a regional program that is run by the participating states which culminates at a national tournament. The A level program is for recreational teams and competes only on the state level. State Directors determine actual team classification.
Assistant Coaches are not allowed to argue any call with an umpire. All discussions will be handled by the Head Coach and Head Coach only. An Assistant Coach that argues with an umpire will be immediately ejected from that game and also banned from Gameday for the remainder of that weekend. Any Assistant Coach who is ejected for a 2nd time throughout the year will be banned from Gameday for the remainder of that season.
